Professional Details
Mark A. Frantz, CPA started his firm in 1992. He started his practice in the upstairs loft of his home. That loft had a window that overlooked the front of the home, which would later serve as inspiration for his firm’s logo, where it all began.
While still working as an accountant for the local hospital he worked at night, on weekends and whenever there was spare time to work on and build his practice. In 1996, after four years of growth, he went into his practice full time.
Mark’s niche is working with small businesses solving their tax issues and QuickBooks accounting needs as well as individuals tax clients. He is uniquely qualified to provide these services from his past training, education and experience. To maintain his CPA license, he is required to take continuing education hours every year. He studies all fields of financial accounting, taxes and more to help his client’s financial well-being. He also passes QuickBooks accounting courses each year in the three versions of QuickBooks, Desktop Pro and Premier, Enterprise Solutions and QuickBooks Online so that he knows the best practices to make his clients accounting less stressful and more accurate.
His experience includes working for one of the largest CPA firms in the world, Arthur Young & Company. There he obtained the skills as an auditor in working with various clients in many industries. The technical requirements of quality service were driven into Mark during his tenure. He also worked for a small CPA firm that gave him that small firm experience. These and other experiences give him a unique ability to solve many problems for his clients.
Prospective clients will see that he has the skills, experience, education and personal characteristics that will put their minds at ease. Financial problems are stressful, but Mark has a reassuring way of solving their problems. One way that Mark likes to build relationships with clients is to join as friends on Facebook. It’s a chance to get to know each other better. Clients have used this platform to answer and ask questions of Mark. One such tax client lives in the Netherlands and sends Mark their papers electronically every year. Mark also uses a Facebook and Instagram page to post useful and humorous information for clients to read, watch and listen.
Education
Mark graduated from CSU, Fresno in 1984 with a degree in accounting with grades at the top of his class. He passed the exam for Certified Fraud Examiner and became a CFE in 2004. He has taken numerous graduate courses and continuing education over the years. Mark has given seminars on various topics to professionals in the industry and to clients. He writes a tax blog to keep clients informed of important issues. He takes continuing education every year to stay current.
Community Involvement
Over the years Mark has been an active part of the community. From coaching boy’s basketball, being involved in PTA, mentoring youth and volunteering in community projects he believes it is important to give to the community. He has served as treasurer for a boosters’ organization and provided leadership in other capacities. He believes in helping those less fortunate and making a difference in peoples lives. He is active in his church and donates regularly to various charities to help others.
Personal Details
Mark and his wife Debbi, enjoy family and getting together for special occasions. Mark enjoys playing golf, reading, listening to music from the Beatles to current artists, watching sports and a glass of wine.
